December 31st, 2004

we interrupt your regularly scheduled blogging for this important random public service announcement.

some people actually searched for:

  • thanksgiving full tummy ache ate
  • crashings-falling up pictures
  • “partially hydrogenated vegetable shortening” bad
  • messy brats on tray pictures
  • Object
  • migrains
  • Mushegan
  • juilia
  • pictures of people performing cosmetology

and they found my webpage in the process. sorry you didn’t find what you were looking for… but may i ask… why are you searching for “thanksgiving full tummy ache ate” anyways?

people are weird. that’s all i have to say right now.

next stop.. knowledge!

December 28th, 2004

today i have training at the apple store. so instead of me posting an entry about nothing, i invite all my visitors (yes. that means you!) to post about your life in the comments. and if you have nothing interesting to write about, then i’ll give ya a topic (what’s with me and the movie and tv references today?). so the optional topic is “one of your favorite memories while traveling”

i expect everyone to participate. i want lots of comments to read when i get back from my job training! -)
have a great day everyone!

christmas 04!

while i should be in bed, i was silly enough to follow one of those ad banners to a “free ink blot test” 56 questions later, i get this. it’s interesting.. its pretty darn accurate.

Tracy, your subconscious mind is driven most by Peace

You are driven by a higher purpose than most people. You have a deeply-rooted desire to facilitate peacefulness in the world. Whether through subtle interactions with love ones, or through getting involved in social causes, it is important to you to influence the world.

You are driven by a desire to encourage others to think about the positive side of things instead of focusing on the negative. The reason your unconscious is consumed by this might stem from an innate fear of war and turmoil. Thus, to avoid that uncomfortable place for you, your unconscious seeks out the peace in your environment.

Usually, the thing that underlies this unconscious drive is a deep respect for humankind. You care about the future of the world, even beyond your own involvement in it. As a result, your personal integrity acts as a surrogate for your deeper drive toward peace and guides you in daily life towards decisions that are respectful toward yourself and others.

driven by a higher purpose eh? why do you suppose that could be? maybe cuz Jesus rocks my world? maybe cuz God’s love is to big not to share, and WAY too powerful to not change lives? oh yea! -D

anyways… i got a new cd in the mail today! it’s awesome. “greatest danish hits”…. from my dane. it came along with some letters and cards, direct from danmark. actually, both elisabeth and her parents sent us Christmas cards. oh how i miss all of them!

anyways. i need to go to sleep now. -)
*puts the danish mix cd on repeat, and heads to bed*

ooh look! 4:20am

December 23rd, 2004

i haven’t had the chance to stay up this late in quite a while. what’s the occasion you ask? well i have off tomorrow. so i figured i should get some stuff done while i have a chance. i just finished the last design for a cd, and emailed that. and then i decided to surf the internet for a bit.. since i have been SO behind on reading the blogs of my dear friends. (ok. speaking of that email that i sent, i just got an email back.. in danish.. but it is a “i’m on vacation” sort of email. auto-reply vacation email messages look a lot more fun in danish…. but probably not for danes. just strange americans like me. but here.. i’ll paste a bit of it and see if you can guess what it says. “med ønsket om glædelig jul og godt nytår”) so in my surfing, i see that nikki has a super sweet new layout up. and also, she ROCKS…. just check out this post. -) also tonight i talked briefly to julia, and it made me realize how much i miss my friends that i primarily talk to online. i can’t wait for things to slow down in my life a bit so that i can catch up with the lives of all the great people that God put in my life. (and let me tell ya.. that’s a lot of people!!)

and in work related things, i’m having a blast. i think i’m getting more used to standing for 8 hours a day. my feet aren’t hurting as much as they were after my first day of work. and i’m also getting more used to selling computers. i’m learning more about all the different things that the apple store offers… yet still have to ask tons of questions. but it’s cool… i work with some great (and smart) people. -)

also tonight was impact at elmbrook. i played the drums, and boy did i have a blast. we “jazzed up” most of the songs, so i got to really have some fun in the back. it’s like the back of the bus…. there’s a reason why the bass player and drummer are put in the back… it’s where all the fun happens. (well… not really.. but being in the back provides for more comfort and opportunity to “play”… just like the back of the bus in gradeschool.) then after 20-something, me and bodil headed back to the apartment, and i wrapped my roommate’s presents. the funny thing about this is that i used our large brochure/’holiday shopping guide’ from the apple store as wrapping paper. (they are free, and we have so many of them, when i give them to costumers, i joke around that they can wrap presents in them since they aren’t stapled, and the pages are so big… so i decided to test it out myself. and sure enough.. that’s some pretty spiffy wrapping paper!) we all had some great laughs and took many pictures. (ok i can’t promise that i’ll get those pictures online in the near futre… since i still have pictures from our bowling outing this past weekend still to get off my camera… AND my schedule doesn’t look like it will ‘let up’ anytime soon)

ok. i really should get to bed. it’s after 4:40am now, and i have been dozing off in front of my computer for the past.. oh.. hour or two. i have much more to say.. but i’ll type it later. and here’s a hint on the above pasted sentence: “glædelig jul” = merry Christmas

nothing interesting to say

December 20th, 2004

so, yea. my life has been crazy.. but mostly from working too much. i am still enjoying my job at the apple store… but it makes me want a g5 even more.. and actually.. i’ll admit that i wouldn’t mind getting some of the other little ‘goodies’ that we sell there.

anyways.. i’m exhausted.. i just wanted to post.. even though i have nothing to say -)

oh yea. happy birthday mom. -)

ring-a-ding-ding!

December 19th, 2004

i forgot to mention on here, you know my friend and roommate amy? yea. well she’s officially engaged. -) she also already bought her dress already. and we are going for bridesmaid’s dress fitting on sunday. (yes. i will be in the wedding. and yes. i will be in a dress. -) )$250 digital cameras

mmmm… frikadeller!

December 16th, 2004

one of the many benefits to having a dane for Christmas…. is a great home cooked danish meal!

tonight after work, bodil and i (well.. mostly bodil.. i pretty much just bought the food .. and peeled potatoes) made frikadeller… which is the most yummy meatballs in the WORLD! it was sooo good and such a great end to a long day.

work hasn’t been bad, but it’s been tough standing on my feet so long. i’m not used to a job where i have to stand all day. but i did sell a g5 today. that was exciting. -) i also have such a great time at work… wether it’s just hanging out and laughing with my coworkers, or it’s getting to talk to customers… it’s just plain fun. my feet think it’s work.. but i think that’s the only downfall -) and hey.. i finally got some apple tshirts my size!

but yea. i haven’t posted in a while…. sorry about that. since i have last posted, i drove to minnesota, stayed over night there.. drove home… drove back to central wisconsin (to our cottage), me and bodil rode my horses (horsieeees!!), played atari, stayed overnight in coloma (yippie…), drove back to milwaukee, attended 20-something, watched some movies… and of course.. ate frikadeller and potatoes. -)

oh yea… i almost forgot. i got an email today informing me that i was one of the top sellers of computers recently. isn’t that cool? God just likes throwing those little surprises in my life for me. how great is that?

anyways. i should go to bed. 7am comes pretty quickly these days. (dang mornings! who invented them— uhh. wait. never-mind. hey. thanks God for mornings. -) seriously!)

see? clean!
