hmm.. interesting. apparently i’m swedish. heh. 
i seriously just spent the last two hours or so watching drum videos at drummerworld.com. i now want to take drum lessons even MORE than i did before. and for all you people out there who don’t call drummers ‘musicians’… take a look at this, this, this, and this….
but moving on. i uploaded more pictures. on thursday, i went to devil’s lake to visit my friend sarah… it was super fun.. and of course i took plenty of pictures… so go check them out.
speaking of devil’s lake… i hiked. i probably walked more in a couple hours than i had all month. it was also mostly climbing. i thought i was gonna die. and it didn’t help that i had no traction on the bottom of my shoes and almost slipped on many-a-rock.
and speaking of rock… you know what doesn’t rock at all? (like that attempt at a ‘glue’ of subject? my “end of may” resolution is to be less random.) the fact that i was not informed about the free for all friday. (well.. actually FFAF has been around for quite a while… i just am way out of the loop. speaking of loops… oh.. nevermind) that’s ok. i at least got to be on the other end of that event… and i posted an entry on nikkiana’s blog. i kinda felt like i was breaking into someone else’s room.
btw. sticky notes are cool (and there goes my ‘”end of may” resolution’ already. dang.)

so my birthday was fun. i worked. (yea.. even work was fun. cori sung.. and did some sort of dance for me.) when i got home, amy asked if i wanted to go out to dinner at applebees. and that was awesome. oh.. and after the metafour gig, someone convinced me to go out and hit the town a bit. that was fun, and i even did pretty good in a game of darts. (it did help that no one else was good at darts either. heh)
oh.. and i got a happy birthday song via ichat video conference too… (from mj, and her sons, sam & charlie)
and that’s about it. i’m 26. weird.
and i’m tired now. time for bed.

this changes a lot.. but here’s my top played right now:
1) my b-day song, by liste nejsum (one of my teammates from the music ministry team i was on last year… she wrote me a song for my b-day last year. it remains the most played song by far. it obviously means a lot to me. it was the first song ever written for me…. and i’ve always wanted someone to write a song for me. )
2) martyrs and thieves, sung by sara nejsum (yea.. martyrs and thieves by jennifer knapp… but being sung and played by some of my favorite danes )
3) stÃ¥r her nu, danish worship song that we played during our return tour last year. (this song really hit me while we were playing it on the road… it gave me chills many times we played it. and i donno why.. but lately worship music in danish has really hit me as such a deep way to praise God lately. i don’t even really understand a lot of danish.. yet i love danish worship music. )

i’ve been sick lately.. or i should say.. i’ve been getting over a cold for quite some time. (it just keeps hangin on there… i’ve been “getting over” this cold for like 2 weeks now.. bleh) and one thing i have noticed, is that i take more naps than normal. maybe i’m getting old? *shrugs* o well.
speaking of ‘getting older’.. i keep forgetting that my birthday is this week. i remember when i was younger and i would count down the days till my b-day… and i would start counting down AT LEAST a month in advance… if not more… MUCH more. it’s funny to think of that now.
oh.. and good news on the work front… i have less hours starting soon… so i will be able to rest a little more. (ok… just a sample of how random my brain works.. when i typed “a little more” i started singing the song “a little more” by jennifer knapp in my head… and i almost started typing “a little more than i can give…” but then i realized that no one else would get it….. unless you were on team with me last year *s*)
i was gonna type something… but i forgot. don’t you hate when that happens? it’s kinda like walking into a room in order to get something.. but by the time you get to the room.. you forgot why you went in there the first place. yea. that happens to me in cyber space too.. sometimes i’ll open up a browser window.. and put my cursor in the address bar.. and then forget where i was gonna go. is there a name for that? maybe we need to make one up.
well.. the thought i had is completely gone. but i will tell you about our metafour gig on thursday. if you are in the milwaukee area, come and see us. we will be playing at ruby g’s coffeehouse on 21st and wells on may 19th, from around 7-9pm. come hear us. bring friends. bring lots of friends. bring people that aren’t your friends.
