boredi got this from sarah
Step 1) check the list of the last 10 MP3s you listened to
Step 2) find their lyrics
Step 3) Put in your LJ (i’m changing it to “your blog” thankyouverymuch) some excerpt of those lyrics
Step 4) Dare your friends to guess the title and artist!
1.
‘s magnificque, ‘s what I seek
You should care for me.
‘s elegant, ‘s what I want,
‘s what I love to see.
My dear, it’s four leaved clover time,
From now on my heart’s working overtime,
‘s exceptional, ‘s no bagatelle,
That you should care for…
That you should care for…
That you should care for me…
2. answer: my glorious (delirious?) [guessed by maria]
Clouds are breaking, heaven’s come to earth
Hearts awakening let the church bells ring
And all you ever do is change the old for new
People we believe that
3. answer: mr. brightside (the killers) [guessed by sarah]
Gotta gotta gotta be down
Because I want it all
It started out with a kiss
How did it end up like this
It was only a kiss, it was only a kiss
Now I’m falling asleep
And she’s calling a cab
While he’s having a smoke
And she’s taking a drag
4.
Inside us all there is a void
All mankind is searching for the one who fills the soul
In Him there’s hope in Him there’s life
The world cries for a savior that’s right before their eyes
What is man that He takes us in as His children to be His own
And what are we that He wants to be our Father
All that I can say is…
5. answer: bring me to life (evanescence). [guessed by sarah]
all this time i can’t believe i couldn’t see
kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
i’ve been sleeping a thousand years it seems
got to open my eyes to everything
without a thought without a voice without a soul
don’t let me die here
there must be something more
6.
What have I been given by Your grace?
Will I come to understand this mystery I embrace?
Make of me a new creation now,
Fill me with all you are and be all I am some how.
7.
i have long pursued her
as a harlot and a whore
but she will feast upon me
she will drink and thirst no more
so when you taste my flesh and my blood
you will know you’re not alone
there is none that can replace her
though there are many who will try
and though some may be her bridesmaids
they can never be my bride
8.
scream
deeper, i wanta scream
i want you to hear me
i want you to find me
i, i want to believe
but all i pray is wrong
and all i claim is gone
well, i, i got a question
i got a question
where are you?
9.
Tell me that someday you’ll be returning
And maybe
Maybe I’ll believe
It’s just enough to see a shooting star
To know you’re never really far
It’s just enough to see a shooting star
To know you’re never really gone
10.
From glass alabaster she poured out the depths of her soul.
O foot of Christ would you wait if her harlotries known?
falls a tear to darken the dirt.
Of humblest offerings to forgive the hurt.
She is strong enough to stand in your love.
I can hear her say..
I am weak. I am poor, I’m broken
Lord but I’m yours.
Hold me Now. hold me Now.
Let the first without sin cast the first stone if you will.
To say that my bride isn’t worth half the blood that I’ve spilled.
Point your finger and laugh if you choose to say my beloved is borrowed and used
leave your answers/guesses in the comments. good luck!
and now i’m gonna go lie down to see if my back will feel any better. grr

mellowi really need to stop installing more ‘cross-posting’ plugins on my webpage. if all goes well with this last wordpress plugin.. when i post on everymoment.org, it will also post on three (yes three) of my other blogs. *clenches fists* THE POWER!!!
*ahem*
uh… nevermind.
oh go check out this webpage… it will most definitely be the source of many hours of wasted time. (and you better believe that i will be utilizing this wonderful tool here on my blog(s)
“Take heed, O thou offspring of a squashed cockroach, for you will be smitten with all-over boils!” *grin*)
tiredi gotta stop trying to install wordpress plugins.. i’m starting to feel REAL nerdy when they actually work. (and i get very frustrated when they don’t work correctly)
…
hmph
accomplishedso this is a test post. i hope things don’t explode.
*looks around*
It’s such a beautiful thing…the first time in all the months that I’ve been tuning in that I’m actually joining in the Free-For-All Friday Fracas.
An all the links should open in a new window. Because I care.
The interesting and slightly bizarre answer to today’s question is that what I’ve been listening to more and more frequently recently isn’t even music at all. For the past…2 or 3 weeks, I’d guess…I cannot go without listening to at least 2 hours of ESPN Radio. It’s weird because I hate talk radio. Hate it hate it hate it. But now I can’t stop listening to it. Today was the first time I actually used my iPod+iTrip in a few days; otherwise on the way to work I’ve been catching Dan Patrick’s afternoon show, and for those late-night voyages homeward *knowing wink* I usually listen to All Nite With Jason Smith, which is an absolute hoot.
I can take solace somewhat in the idea that it’s that magical time of year for all the sports junkies [raises hand] when baseball’s winding up, basketball’s starting, football’s getting interesting, and OH SWEET NECTAR hockey is actually going on this year! But with the Series won and most local talk focusing on a well and truly mired Green ‘n Gold, I may actually be listening to my own music a bit more now.
Of the ryTunes, Muse has been getting a lot of playtime recently (warning: their site will distract you, as it did me), as well as Starsailor (due to outstanding melodies and intensity which, to me, seeps out of their tracks) and Buena Vista Social Club (because there are times when you want to chillax but still hold on to the last vibes of summer). I’m getting tired, so they don’t get hyperlinks.
So yes…if I ever can emancipate myself from the cruel mistress that is late-night sports talk-radio, I may actually go back to the 18 ber-zillion songs I have on my computer.
…
ESPN has a podcast?!
I. Am. Doomed.
Hi Tray,
First off, thanks for guest posting on my blog.
I haven’t really been listening to any artists in particular, just the radio these recent weeks. Streaming radio, to be more precise. Virgin Radio classic UK. Quite nice, really. A bit of a change too, with a different kind of advertisements, DJs and all compared to local radio. Hey, it’s good to have a bit of variety every now and then.
Come to think of it, the new single The Importance of being Idle by Oasis has been getting quite a lot of airplay. Great song, it sure is. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the album.
One album which I just got and am starting to listen is the Ultimate Movie Music Collection by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. I was at their performance when they visited Singapore just two days ago, and it was superb. Naturally, the next thing was to bring the music back home. I’ve only listened to 2 out of the 4 CDs, and it’s nice. This will be in my CD player for the next few weeks!
