so i have learned the unfairness of the “airplane world” from the other side now.

see.. i never ride anything more than coach on a flight… anywhere. EVER. (and i’m sure if there was an option to sit with pets and other large luggage.. i’d be put there… heck.. if i could get a super cheap flight.. i’d ride in an animal crate! i’m not picky ) well.. since the delay and missing of my intended connecting flight from memphis to austin… they re-booked me onto the next flight … several hours later. (see figure 11a below) well.. what i didn’t notice is that they bumped me up to first class. (oh. and i should mention that i was in an “exit row” on my flight from milwaukee to memphis.. so i had an extreme excess of legroom on both flights)

but now .. i sit here… not only in first class… but with an EMPTY SEAT right next to me! i got asked if i wanted something to drink before the flight even was completely boarded… and now i’m sitting with a soda and a GLASS glass with laser engraving on the outside. (see figure 14c below [coming soon]) oh. and now i got pretzels too. (see figure 17b below) and she brought them out on a tray. A TRAY. all laid out all fancy and whatnot. i mean.. common! is that REALLY necessary? *shakes head* i give up. can’t we all just be “first class”?

ok. that’s my rant for the flight. i’m sure i’ll write more and maybe add to this blog later .. when i get internet access again. (too bad we don’t have that satellite wifi here… no.. seriously.. i’m KIDDING. how URGENT does checking your email have to be that it can’t wait for an hour or two?! do people really think they are THAT important? i mean seriously!? )

and now it’s a day later… and i’m in texas. it’s hot here. i don’t like lots of heat. i think i need to find someone with some aspirin or ibuprofen to take care of this headache that is creeping up on me.

just had to post this entry quick.. (and one more picture will be added later… once i buy a card reader to get the pictures off my camera. since i forgot mine at home…. *doh*)
