this week’s photo hunters theme is “art”. so here is a picture of one of my favorite paintings that i did. it’s acrylic on canvas, with old receipts, tinfoil, and gesso. it’s hanging on my bright red accent wall right now. (click on the picture to see it in more detail.

wow–it’s really great. Have you titled it?
[Reply]
hmm.. no. i never really came up with a title for it. i’ll have to think about it now
[Reply]
Very different, that’s for sure.

You are talented. Great shot for todays theme. Happy weekend.

Wow! This is beautiful! And it looks absolutely stunning (and huge) on your red accent wall.
[Reply]
yea. actually it’s the largest painting i’ve .. well.. painted.
[Reply]
Wow – that is real art for sure! Are the top “streaks” made with your fingers/hands?
I love that it is mixed medium.

Talented — as always!

That’s wonderful. You are a great artist. It must be a lovely gift to have such talents.

WONDERFUL! (seems like I keep saying that this week – but it’s TRUE!) Did you paint this with THIS wall in mind? Or did it just sort of happen? THIS type of modern artwork always makes me smile!
[Reply]
That is really very nice indeed and you definitely need to title it! I’ll never paint anything except the walls in my house as I’m lucky if I can do paint-by-number!
[Reply]
That’s really quite cool.
[Reply]
Amazing! I wish I have some talent like that!
[Reply]
Art is subjective, that’s for sure…
Nice job!

this is terrific. I really like the texture to it. And the colors. And the fact that it hangs on a red wall.
Great work.

Wow – I really like the painting and it looks great on that red wall.
Happy Weekend!
[Reply]
i bet the textures on that one are awesome!

A bright red wall? Ouch… I could never live with one! But it goes great with your painting – the colours match perfectly. And the painting… I see like birds hiding in it? Interesting
[Reply]
What can I say? Everything you put in here are all ‘art’. I love the texture, I love the color of the wall.
[Reply]
wow you’re very talented!

Love how the red on the wall brings out the red in the picture!
great job!
[Reply]
I like the colors you used and what an excellent choice for its placement. The wall really sets it off. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful painting, I was going to paint something this week but didn’t. I also love the accent wall, I’m toying with the colors in our house right now and bright red was on our list. All in all great photo and awesome painting!

Roses on a trash heap? Sea reeds in Mermadia? Flight of the silver soul? Way cool painting.

This rocks!! Great job!

Wondering if you painted it especially for the wall. Very interesting medium.

Looks beautiful on your red accent wall–I miss my red accent wall from my last house!
[Reply]
That is really wonderful. I bet it’s even better in person so that one can see the detail and texture that you’ve applied.
Love the red wall too!
[Reply]
That is very cool and looks perfect on that red wall. Thanks for sharing!

you are a talented artist — wonderful work
[Reply]
Though the painting is not a form that I personally enjoy, I can certainly appreciate your talent, Tray. And I love the colors and the way the red wall frames the painting in the photograph. I’d love to know more about the feelings and emotions you were attempting to express in your painting.

Wonderful work!!!
