me and michele’s friends sahnya and wendy had an article written about them and their home. click here to see it it’s really a nice article. and their house is really awesome. so colorful and relaxing. they are both artists in their own way. and it shows in their decorating 
i’m glad the newspaper did this article on them.

wow. two posts in a row from me? crazy eh?
anyways.. today’s photo hunters theme is “shoes”… so here’s a picture i took the other day. i just bought these shoes (well.. sandals) .. and i love them. they are so comfy! and here’s simon who came to greet me as i arrived.
and while i have everyone’s attention… don’t forget about our jazz quartet‘s gig tonight at the envoy (in the lobby of the ambassador hotel.. from 8-11pm. you should come.. especially if you want to meet my birth family.. since pretty much everyone is going to be there! (for full story.. read the previous entry ))

visitors at work

so.. someone finally got me.
i’m usually the one who’s going around surprising other people by showing up places… but this time… i was the surprise-ie
so here’s the story.. i get this really random phone call from some guy who doesn’t introduce himself.. asking for a manager. i was confused. really confused. but i gave the number of my boss. so now i’m all worried that something is wrong.. cuz why would someone call ME and ask for my boss? but anyways.. i just go back to working on a website. close to this time i also get a text message from my birth mom asking what i was up to. (her dad is really sick. and so she drove up from texas to see him.. so i knew she was around milwaukee.. but not much other than that) another call from previous ‘mystery guy’… asking was my boss even in the office today. “yes he is” ok, thanks.
alright. still confused. but .. back to work.
now my phone rings AGAIN (mind you, this is probably the most my phone has rang in one day since i started working there.) caller id says it’s the front desk.
“hey tracy, there’s a linda here to see you”
wow. i had nothing to say.. i couldn’t wait to see my birth mom… i stand up and look over at the front desk (our cubicles are short.. so i can see all around the office just by standing up from my desk) and see not just one… but ELEVEN members of my b-family standing there!
anyways.. that was so amazing! and i’ll see them all tomorrow at our metafour
gig!
anyways.. i’ll be sure to post more pictures later… and they took pictures and video as well.. so i’ll make sure they email them to me *ahem*

i just learned of another great site. i know a lot of people out there now have websites, blogs, etc. and i also know that a lot of people have something to say on said website/blog/etc. so now how do you get people to go to your little “place” on the internet? well.. just like if you were having a party at your house… you invite them!
and here’s another great place to “invite” people to your site.. or just see and accept other people’s “invitation”.. it’s called “my link is first”
so go give them a visit.
