every moment? the human mind has a far greater capacity to remember pleasure than pain. for example, scientists have concluded if the capacities were the same, women would never have more than one child. so i envision the blissful quarter-second before death, where your life flashes before you, and you remember everything great that happened to you. seems very everymoment-y to me. not that this will probably contribute to the creative process in the least, but surely something to ponder.

things to ponder always help with the creative process. at least for me. if not design, then concept-wise… it helps a lot. so thank you for posting your thoughts. -)

Every moment? hmm that’s tough to say. That’s a really good question. Allow me to ramble on for a moment.

I have to say that time is one thing I think of. But that’s not what I’m thinking about really. I’m thinking about every moment in time is captured in a single instance. Hmm. That’s tough to explain isn’t it. As if everything becomes one, and is many at the same time. It’s as if all of your memories are condensed into one memory in time, but it’s not really one memory becuase it’s all your memories.

    wow. it’s late.

It’s kind of like eternity, not sure how you can visually represent eternity any better than visually representing every moment. Perhaps a bunch of old polariods? or maybe a scrap-book/photo album? Newspapers/Magazines/television sets, maybe some dynamic stop motion photography, capturing a specific moment, but then that’s not every moment, it’s one moment. Maybe you could get a video of some sort of dynamic movement or action and then overlay all of the frames on top of one another, or maybe every tenth frame if that gets too muddy kinda like this: http://artchive.com/artchive/f/futurist/dogleash.jpg

Not sure if any of that helps but it’s something.

Every moment… impossible to capture. You can slice time down as far as you want, but you will never get it down to a “moment”. Something will get missed.

And yet, we try. With photography, video, audio, written and typed word, we try to capture moments. Fleeting moments. Missed between syllables, bits, bytes, pops, cracks, pixels, or pen strokes.

I guess what I think of with the words ‘every moment’ is like one of the first comments there: the beautiful, the pleasure, the blessings. I also tend in the same vein to think of the miracle of the mundane: the toast and coffee breakfast, the pile of library books that need to be shelved, and the transitional stuff, like graduation and autumn leaves and homecomings. Or, like the way a rest in a piece of music, the silence there, can be just as emotionally potent as the great crescendo. Stuff that makes you forget to breathe or breathe that much deeper. Kids discovering nature. Adults in conversation over lunch at the construction site. Teachers and students working on a peace project. That sort of stuff. Every moment is more than what you see or feel but also the simplicity concept, the frame-by-frame type of captured moments.

“Every moment” says to me, “don’t forget to inhale.”

With so much in our lives we say, “next time.” I’ll see him “next time”. I’ll do that “next time.” Well, we eventually run out of “next times.”

So every moment, of every day, remember to inhale what is around you. Because some day… down the road… you can exhale a little of that moment when the “next times” are gone, and feel a little of that magic, even if it’s just for a fleeting moment.

every moment is all there is. “The Power of Now” no future, no past, every moment…
    is all there is.
    Now.
Grab it. Live it. Be it.
Joy is every moment. Peace & ease…
when you let go, step aside from your interfering mind, then you are free…

Every Moment brings to mind: appreciate even the little things. Because I think it’s easy to get carried away with major events in the day, and that discounts a lot of smaller moments that occur. Every moment to me reminds me to live in the now. That’s something I forget to do sometimes, it’s always nice to have a reminder. A smile also comes to mind…because this domain name always reminds me of Thich Nhat Hahn’s Peace Is Every Step.
