if you follow me and my life adventures, you’re probably familar with the terms “barcamp” and “podcamp”… but queercamp was a new idea, born of networking and idea sharing at a podcamp. after realizing how much of a “good idea” it was, plans went into gear to hold the first ever queercamp at bucketworks in milwaukee wisconsin. it was an amazing time. the most awesome people showed up for some great discussion and sessions on topics spanning the board. and yes.. there’s already talks of other queercamps. stay tuned.

Two questions:
1) Do you have to be LGB or T to attend Queercamp?
2) Queercamp UK? Anyone on that one yet?
I seriously think Queercamp could be huge in the UK and I think Brighton is the place to do it.
Oh and FYI, I’m as straight as they come!

1) nope. we had L, G, B, T, Q and straight people at the first queercamp. it was a great group of people.
2) not yet. start one up! i can send ya any of the stuff we used for the first one in milwaukee if you wish (or know a core group who would be interested in organizing it). heck.. if i find another awesome cheap flight over to the UK.. i could possibly even attend said queercamp UK
