excuse the dust

March 29th, 2008

there’s still lots of stuff that needs to be fixed on my website now that i not only moved to a new server, but i updated to wordpress 2.5. -)

alright… i'm switching hosts..

January 28th, 2008

i’ve had enough of all my random hosting experiences. i finally just went with the “big dawgs” over at (mt) A Simple Plan move

and will be moving *all* of my websites over there. so if you see weirdness on any of my sites… that’s why.

and i’m moving this one first.. since it’s the first to expire. -) wish me (and all my websites) luck! -)

seesmic plugin!

January 23rd, 2008

my blog may never be the same again… since seesmic now has a wordpress plugin for adding video to blog posts AND comments. it has inspired me to work on a re-design of everymoment.org next. (sorry disgruntalbowler.com The Godfather: Part II movies Slices rip fans… that one is just gonna have to take a back seat to the em.org redesign -) )

(and ps. i still have a couple seesmic invites if you want to leave video comments on my blog.. leave me a comment and i’ll send an email to the email you entered. k?)

a little internet recognition always surprises me

December 10th, 2007

even after having tracyapps.org online for 7 years, i’m still surprised when i view my web stats… and see that people are actually reading/viewing my site. and then i’m even more surprised when i see other sites linking to my page. well, since i redesigned tracyapps.org i’ve been listed on a couple CSS gallery For the Moment dvdrip

Good Luck Chuck movie download

showcase sites, and even was included in a blog about 2007 web trends Frankenstein download The Forgotten Ones aka The Tribe buy .

all i can say is that i’m honored and grateful. -)

addicted to RSS feeds

October 30th, 2007

i’ll admit it. i’m addicted. i sign up for every type of social networking site i can find. i’ve got a myspace, (actually i have two) a facebook, a flickr, a youtube, a glee, a linkedIn, a twitter, a pownce, a jaiku, a digg, a del.icio.us, a tumblr, a last.fm, a frappr, a vox, a blog, another blog, another blog, another blog (etc…) and i enjoy finding ways to link them together via RSS feeds. i guess that makes me an RSS feed junkie.

why cant more things in my life be an RSS feed?

barCampMKE, and other such nerdyness

September 29th, 2007

hey all you milwaukeeians. you should go to this:

it’s an un-conference. more of a networking based conference.. where more active participation is encouraged. it’s not just for nerds. (although it does seem to appeal to the nerdy-types… but also lots of creative-types… i consider creative-types a different type of nerd… but i guess you could say that about any particular group. ‘nerd’ is a very diverse term in my eyes. but i digress) and it’s free. just go to the barCampMilwaukee website and sign up. you can learn more about the whole concept of a ‘bar camp’ as well.

i’m planning on attending some graphic design/ web design type sessions. and also plan on leading a “photo walk” around downtown milwaukee. so come join the fun (and get a free tshirt! yeah!)

this morning i attended a ‘techCafe’ talk about adobe stuff… lead by ryan stewart

. and for once, i was in a place where i wasn’t the only person twittering during the event. i also met several people who are also involved with the barCampMKE…. so that was pretty cool to be able to add faces/names/voices to their screen names/icons/posts. -)

and in completely unrelated news… i finally made one of those “facebook badges”… so if you’re not my friend on facebook… go add me

Tracy Apps's Facebook profile

ok. that’s all for now. i’ve gotta get ready for my gig tonight. *waves*

photo hunters: row

August 10th, 2007

alright. this week’s photoHunt is “row”. i couldn’t decide between these two “row” pictures… so i’m putting both of them here.. in a row.. on my website.

and now i’m going to go watch a movie. or try to figure out why i suddenly only have read-only permissions when i FTP to my everymoment.org website. or maybe that movie sounds a little bit less frustrating. -)

watch out… flickr ahead

July 11th, 2007

alright. so my “old skool” readers probably notice that i don’t blog as much as i did when i was in college. well time is an issue when working full time, yes. but also i haven’t had a whole lot of ‘really deep’ things to say.. nor have i had the energy to post as many random picture posts as i used to. but there’s good news!!

so remember me saying how i got an iphone? yea? ok. so did you know that the iphone takes pictures? oh yea.. and it can email pictures as well? and hey.. you know that little site called flickr.com? yea. you can email pictures to flickr and they will automatically be uploaded. and i also just activated the automatic ‘blogging’ feature.. so get ready for the fun that will ensue from my ability to take pictures and post them INSTANTLY from ANYWHERE i am! YAAAAY! the absolute NERDINESS!!!

i just wanted to warn everyone about the flood of picture posts that will be coming your way. better subscribe to my rss feed now! you wouldn’t want to miss any “every moment” goodness.. now would you?

:-)

<!– warning… nerdy post ahead –>

when i designed everymoment.org, i decided to make my life less stressful and design my page for the latest standards compliant browsers…. and NOT try to “hack” my page for internet explorer 6 (and earlier) visitors. i figured.. if you are using that out-of-date of a browser.. you don’t deserve to see my site design.

i know…. a bit 1337 of me… but i didn’t care.

well today i found an EASY hack so that ie 5.5 and greater will show my transparent .png’s

but seriously folks… if you are browsing the internet with ie 6 or less you should stop that. stop it now! your browser is out of date, buggy, and NOT SECURE! go download this or this RIGHT AWAY!!! (and yes.. i AM shouting. i cannot express how INSANELY ANNOYING it is to have to design a website.. and then have to BREAK the page so that it will work on internet explorer! please.. for the sanity of all web designers out there…)
