i realized i uploaded this video, and was going to add it to my websites, but only got as far as uploading the video to youtube. this video is a collection of raw video from milwaukee’s pridefest 2009. this is me playing drums on the main stage with emily white. the video was captured by the official pridefest video-girl, and my good friend, the very talented jessica janiuk.
it was so much fun to play with these guys! and believe it or not, this was the first time all three of us had played together. ever. but anyways, go check out emily white’s music and buy a million of her CDs.
i’m sure i’ve said it before.. but i’ll say it again. i do love this town. maybe it’s because we live almost half of our year bundled up in layers of clothing with hats, scarves, mittens and snow boots… staying inside where it’s warm… short days of sunlight.. (etc.) but summer in this town is always filled with fun stuff. this weekend is (as far as i know) the final ethnic summer festival at the summerfest grounds: indian summer. it will be fun.. it always is a fun time. and i love the fact that milwaukee does these festivals almost every weekend.
so far this summer we have attended (at those same festival grounds):
if you notice, me and jackie have attended every single ethnic festival on the lakefront festival grounds. also notice that in that list, the biggest summer festival here in milwaukee, summerfest, was *not* listed… nor was it attended. and this was by design. i remember the days when i really loved going to summerfest… and now i just get annoyed by the loud music and rowdy drunk crowds. maybe i’m getting old… but i’d rather not have to pay $15 to have overpriced beer spilled on me. (“get off my lawn!” ????? ?????????? ????? )
well look at that.. it’s 2:30am. when’d that sneak up on me? *shakes her cane at the air*
